Stefano Martini

Chief Technology Officer

Stefano’s role as Chief Technology Officer is to provide strategic leadership and hands-on direction to develop, deliver, and evolve an extraordinary, unique, and impactful technology-based experience for our clients, our advisors, our employees, and our business partners. He harnesses the four main elements of technology – automation, security, customer experience, and data – into an integrated approach to driving client and advisor satisfaction and success.

Stefano brings his years of experience in transforming businesses, implementing large-scale digital initiatives, achieving operational excellence, and managing purpose-driven, high-performance teams to Barnum’s mission of being a national leader in protection and investment solutions, financial wellness, and life-stage financial planning. His vision is to use all aspects of technology to constantly improve advisors’ abilities to best serve the needs of their clients in the easiest, most efficient manner possible.

Prior to joining Barnum, Stefano was the chief information officer for MassMutual Financial Advisors where he led all aspects of technology, supporting over 80 agencies and over 8,000 advisors across the U.S. During his tenure at MassMutual, he also held a number of senior roles, including leadership on acquisitions, technology transformation efforts, and head of procurement.

Stefano has a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and management from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business and an undergraduate degree in information technology from the University of Massachusetts.

In addition to a full agenda at work, Stefano has a full house, including his wife, their four children, three dogs, one cat, and some highly productive chickens. He enjoys traveling, cooking, exercising, and constantly thinking about what technology can do to improve the client experience.
