Arthur R. Gallant

CFP®, ChFC®
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional
  • Financial Services Executive

Arthur R. Gallant graduated with his bachelor’s in 2005 from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, Connecticut. Post-graduation, Art wanted to pursue a career in financial services because he enjoys fast-paced work environments, problem-solving, and helping other people especially when it comes to their goals in life. Art began his career in finance in 2007 with the Barnum Financial Group. Since then, he has expanded his credentials by obtaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional as well as Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College of Financial Services.

At Barnum, Art assists clients and their families and teaches financial workshops. As a financial planner, his methodology is to first coach his clients. When he coaches, Art is helping clients form a fundamental understanding of the intricate workings of their finances. As Art establishes a rapport with clients, he transitions from a coach to a teammate that supports them along the way to achieving their goals. Relationship building is a key part of Art’s job. With many of his clients, he is friendly and familiar, knowing about their families and friends. This relationship drives Art to work hard and provide exceptional service by listening to their wants and providing solutions. Art finds satisfaction in watching clients obtain the goals they set together or enjoy the retirement they planned.

When Art is not at work, he is a husband and father to three children. Art has two daughters, Mary and Remi. His oldest child is his son, Ryan. Growing up, Art lived in South Portland, Maine. As a child, Art spent a large portion of his free time outside playing competitive sports with neighbors, hiking in the woods near his home, or being on the water. Art met his wife, Kiley, in his freshman year of college. Kiley is also from Maine and shares similar passions with Art. Kiley and Art moved to Haddam, Connecticut, where they spend time outside enjoying their hobbies and raising their children. While they don’t live in Maine, they found that Haddam is a great substitute as it shares some similarities with the parts of Maine they love. They are surrounded by state forests where they can hike, camp, and sit by a fire at night. Art is also a few minutes away from the shoreline. Art and his family often spend most summer weekends on their boat swimming and fishing.
