Louis M. Eliasof

He works with individuals and their families, small business owners, and business executives, providing each with objective advice and quality service.

Louis utilizes a well-defined, disciplined approach, taking a holistic view that results in an integrated plan taking into consideration short-term issues and opportunities and long-term goals. He has expertise in a range of areas including wealth accumulation and preservation strategies, retirement and estate planning strategies, employee and executive benefits, long-term care planning, and business succession planning.

At Barnum, Louis has the support of a network of consultants that are experienced and trained in individual and business planning strategies. He also collaborates with his clients’ legal and tax advisors where appropriate.

A life-long learner, Louis has earned many industry designations. They include the Certified Financial Planner™ or CFP® certification, recognized as the standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning, the Certified Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation for individuals who specialize in life insurance and estate planning, and the Certificate in Long-Term Care® (CLTC®) designation. Each involves ongoing education to keep abreast of new developments in their respective areas.

Throughout his career, Louis was recognized by MetLife as one of the top advisors in the organization. Lou was inducted into the MetLife Hall of Fame in April of 2013. The Hall of Fame is MetLife’s highest professional accomplishment, reserved for individuals whose superior leadership, integrity and commitment to excellence have distinguished them as an outstanding role model among their peers. He was also proud to be a ten-time Americas Council qualifier. Additionally, he was named to MetLife’s Platinum Conference achieving lifetime membership. He is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

Raised in Bergen County, New Jersey, Louis lives in Rockland County, New York with his wife, Margaret. They are the proud parents of two grown children and one granddaughter. An avid golfer, he also enjoys traveling, reading, and following the various New York sports teams.
