My commitment to financial literacy extends to the communities I serve, particularly to young people. Inspired by my son, I am writing a series of books for children that explain financial topics in a fun, easy to understand way. I have funded this endeavor from my work as a financial advisor and, in turn, donate the profits from these books to various charities that support the well-being of children.
About Rosanna
Rosanna considers herself blessed to have found her dream job while working towards a degree in accounting at Brooklyn College. After beginning an internship working with an advisor at a financial services company, she as quickly realized that her three favorite things to do were speaking, teaching, and working with people. After graduating from college, she began working as a financial advisor at Strategies for Wealth, where she built enduring relationships with her clients through her caring guidance. Rosanna moved her practice to Barnum Financial Group to leverage their depth and breadth of resources to benefit her clients. Their leadership in bringing financial wellness programs to people across the country aligns with the commitment she has had for years.
Motherhood further motivated her commitment to teaching, after seeing firsthand how important it is to plant the seeds of financial literacy in young children. The result is a series of Peter Saves books which introduce the ideas of insurance, investments, and other financial planning vehicles in a colorful way that allows children to follow along and remember these concepts. The third in the series is about to be published.
The Peter Saves Series books have been featured in various publications and on-line media including Yahoo Finance. Rosanna has contributed and been published in numerous articles including on NYMetroParents with the articles Saving for Retirement: 401k vs. IRA vs. Nothing, and Why it’s Important to Have a Will and How to Write One. Rosanna has also been interviewed by several media outlets including Scary Mommy, in the episode Let’s Talk About the Crazy Cost of Child Care, and on Between the Covers. Through these articles, books, and interviews Rosanna hopes to be able to stress the importance of education and financial literacy, and to help everyone save for a rainy day.
Rosanna herself is a lifelong learner, attending numerous training sessions each year to remain current on new trends and opportunities as well as new products and services that she can bring to her clients to enable them to meet their needs and capitalize on opportunities.
