Barnum has compiled a brief list of charities that are actively helping the Ukrainian people in this time of crisis


CARE USA’s overall focus is defeat poverty, save lives, and achieve social justice while also focusing on equal rights for women and girls around the world. They endeavor to reach 4 million people with immediate emergency assistance, such as food, water, hygiene kits, psychological support, and cash assistance to aid families in Ukraine who are fleeing violence.

Direct Relief

Direct Relief works around the globe, equipping medical professionals with life-saving resources to care for the world’s most vulnerable people. They are currently working with Ukraine’s Ministry of Health to provide requested medical aid while preparing to offer longer-term assistance to people displaced or affected by the war.

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders care for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters as well as those excluded from health care for other reasons. They are working with medical facilities within the Ukraine, by providing mass casualty training as well as supplying facilities with the necessary supplies to handle such medical emergencies.

International Rescue Committee

The IRC helps people to survive, recover and rebuild their lives when crisis strikes. They have teams on the ground in Poland, working with local partners to provide life-saving support to civilians affected by the Ukrainian Crisis.

Save the Children

Save the Children works to help keep children around the world, healthy, educated, and safe. They have been working in conflict-impacted areas of Ukraine since 2014 providing support to families in need and are actively helping the children of this latest crisis in the Ukraine.
